Culled males cost more than the seed they came from, and that part never shows up in price comparisons between regular and feminized packs. Each male sits in the tent for weeks before it shows sex, using light, water, nutrients and a pot that a female could have filled. The arithmetic at https://queenfeminizedseeds.com leaves those inputs out on purpose and describes its own figures as understating the gap. Add a month of electricity for half a tent of doomed plants and the real difference gets much wider.
